30+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE | from classical to skate punk to hip hop to metal to indie rock to pop

WELL-TRAINED | music degree, DCI Drum Corps, teacher and student

RELIABLE | solid transport, great gear, real work ethic, and a positive reputation to uphold

NOT A JERK | respect the band, the audience, the venue, the staff, the dude selling hotdogs

(-) “You’re just another evil ex waiting to happen” (Ramona Flowers)

REGIONAL RADNESS | ~weekly practice, ~monthly shows, not looking to tour

RESPECTFULLY IMPATIENT | start-up bands are a tough sell, though great players certainly help

UNABASHEDLY 40-SOMETHING | bullshit intolerant, Dad-joke threat level: SEVERE

NON-EXCLUSIVE | I play in multiple projects so that no one of them has to be everything

On the Stage

I’ve been a substitute, I’ve been an experiment, I’ve been a consistent collaborator.

What do you need?

THE CITY LINES

Headed by songwriter / singer / guitarist Patrick Deneau (Sault Tribe), The City Lines is a rock group based out of the Detroit area. Their stories are told by way of personal experiences carried by rhythmic rock and roll with twangy echoes of Americana country. The City Lines' lyrics explore themes of fatherhood, human connection, and blue-collar work ethic in a melodic, relatable way.

Thunderbuck Ram

Power Funk trio that will make you get up and not want to get back down. Think “Parliament Funkadelic meets Bruce Lee in an alley to beat up Prince.”

JHB

JOHN HEATH BAND

Dearly Departed

Dearly Departed is a Seattle based duo. Their electrocuted, beat-heavy and imaginative works are secretly lyrical folk songs at heart. The group began playing together casually and acoustically in the spring of 2011, mainly around living rooms and campfires. As songs began to take shape, and instruments were plugged, one by one, into amplifiers, the sound of Dearly Departed emerged as the undulating, mixed genre, experimental project that both pleases and challenges ears and hearts alike.

Another Perfect Crime

Seattle’s Another Perfect Crime is inspired by Girls Rock Camps, where the mission is to cultivate a supportive community of women & girls, and foster unabashed creative expression through music education. APC immediately discovered a strong kinship, and their sound has been consistently influenced by the camp’s collaborative spirit and by the DIY ethics they share. Another Perfect Crime has toured, played locally, and released 4 albums, all available on iTunes and Spotify.

Local Roots Showcase w/ Aline & Wes

Filmed outdoor by Oregon’s Capital Community Media (COVID-safe protocol) during October of 2020, this short set highlights the diversity of the Seattle duo’s songwriting, which also means I get to play across a wide range of styles here. If you’re looking for a solid sample of on-stage performance abilities, this is a great place to start. Learn more about the Local Roots program here >> CC:TV Music — Capital Community Media — Salem, Oregon

REMOTE COLLABORATION

It being the 21st century and all that, I’m perfectly happy to work together even if we can’t actually get together. Maybe our schedules don’t match? Maybe you live far away? Maybe there’s a raging global pandemic? It’s fine, we can totally do this. Just send me your song in need of drums and I’ll send you back a track.

“But wait,” you say, “can that actually sound good?” I humbly offer the following one-sided collaborations as proof of concept for your consideration. Short answer: YES, I think so.
